Corrections policy

Every listing should match the organizer's own rules. When it does not, this is how we fix it.

How we check a listing

A person reads the organizer's page and rules before a call is published. We copy the deadline and its time zone, the entry fee, the prizes and who runs the call, and we read the rights terms. We do not estimate missing facts: if the rules do not say, the listing says "see organizer".

Each listing shows a last checked date. It changes only when a person re-checks the facts against the organizer page. Apply links are tested automatically every week; a broken link puts the listing back in our review queue.

How to report a mistake

Use Report a problem with this listing on any contest page, or write to [email protected]. Tell us what is wrong and, if you can, what the organizer page says. Organizers can also edit their own listings from their dashboard.

What we do next

  1. A person reads the report, usually within one working day.
  2. We compare the listing with the organizer page and, where needed, contact the organizer.
  3. If the listing was wrong we correct it and update the last checked date. If the call was cancelled, is misleading, or its rights terms take more than the photographer would reasonably expect, we remove it.
  4. If you left an email, we reply with what we changed.

Paid listings

Featured, Spotlight and Season placements are always labelled. Payment buys visibility, never a softer check: a paid listing that turns out to be wrong is corrected or removed the same way, and promotion time lost to our error is credited back.

What we cannot promise

Organizers change rules, extend deadlines and close calls early. The organizer's own page is always the final word, so confirm the details there before you pay an entry fee.
